Specifications

Coverage:

  • Primer - 0.5kg per 5sqm (Diluted 30%).
  • Paint - 1.5kg per 5sqm.

Number of coats:

  • Primer - Depends on substrate, typically 1 (additional primer may be required for substrates with high absorption. i.e. Freshly plastered walls).
  • Paint - 2 coats.

Dilution:

  • Primer - 30% Water. This equates to 150ml for 0.5kg of primer, or 300ml for 1kg.
  • Paint - The ratio for preparation is 6:5. This means that if you have 1.5kg, you should divide this by 6, to get the measurement of 1 unit = 0.25kg. You then multiply this single unit x5 to get the amount of water. 0.25x5 = 1.25L of water. You can use the ration of 6:5 to work out how much water to add to any amount of powder.

Tools:

  • Primer - Mohair or short pile roller.
  • Paint - Medium or long pile roller. Can be flattened by 120mm or larger spatula, or trowel if desired.
  • Drill with paddle recommended for mixing.

Storage:

Depends on storage state:

  • If still in powder form, indefinitely.
  • If already prepared, up to 2 weeks. Small additional amount of water can be re-added before use if too dry.

Workability:

  • Depends on the amount of water. For a slightly thicker mixture, we recommend to start at around 1L of water, then slowly add until desired consistency is reached.

Disclaimers

- PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE -

  • Although we have tried extremely hard to ensure that the colours for our metallic paints are displayed as accurately as possible, there is always going to be a level of discrepancy to the colour experienced once applied in your project. This can be down to multiple factors, such as the quality and brightness of the screen on which you have selected the colour, as well as the lighting in the room where these will eventually be applied. For this reason, we STRONGLY advise that you purchase a colour chart or sample pot of the desired colour to test it in your environment before ordering a larger quantity. Especially as we cannot accept returns for most colours.

  • Please note that our paints are sold per 1kg. If multiple kits are ordered, our team will endeavour to package the paint in larger, smaller containers in order to ease transportation. We cannot guarantee the colour, or size of bucket that you will receive, as this depends on availability. If a bucket you receive is not filled to the brim, please do not worry, we have prepared your order according to weight, not bucket size. All orders are audited for weight before leaving our premises.

  • Please note that all our paints are prepared for each individual client order. Since our products fall under the category of bespoke goods, it means that we cannot offer a refund if the colour is not suitable. This is because we have coloured the paint to your specification. The only colour which may be returned for this paint in particular, is the Uncoloured versionThis is due to this being the base colour of the paint. To avoid disappointment, it is very important that you have sampled the product before ordering.

  • Regarding coverage, our paint bundles have been tested to cover the specified surface area. If you find that you have run short, please double check your measurements. It is more common for the primer to run short if a surface is overly absorbent, such as a freshly plastered wall. In which case, please contact us to order additional primer.
