Allover Base Textured Base Coat For Allover System

The Allover base is a product developed to serve as an anchoring primer and a textured basecoat at the same time. Allover Base contains fibrous additives that give this basecoat, a higher than average resistant to cracking, making it more flexible that a standard, powder-based, basecoat. It also means that it can be applied without the need for a mesh to provide additional rigidity. We would still recommend however, that if a surface has high risk of movement, the mesh is still used, as it will further strengthen the application. Thanks to its great bonding, Allover Base does not need a primer before being applied (although one can be used on particularly non porous, or slippery surfaces).

Finally, another aspect that sets Allover Base apart from being a standard basecoat, is that due to its great texture, as well as colourability, it can be used as its own finish! It is possible to do a wall application of Allover, that includes simply, 2 coats of Allover Base, followed by 2 coats of Allover Top.
