Allover Coating System is a multi-layered system designed to be applied on domestic walls and ceilings. Allover provides a seamless coating that can enhance any room with its simplistic and modern feel. It does not require any grouting and can be applied directly onto existing solid floors or tiles (floors require the anti-crack system). This makes it a fantastic way to renovate any wall surface whilst creating uninterrupted, seamless finishes.

The page below will guide you through all the components of the kit, as well as explain what each one is.

The Smooth kit uses the Allover Finish as the primary plaster. This kit includes the pre-sealer (Link A and Link B) as well as the Protego protector (Protego A + Protego B). The combination of these two products on top of the Allover Finish, creates a durable water-resistant surface for walls. Both of these products will shift the final colour of your Allover Finish, to a slightly darker shade. Available in matt, satin and gloss.

Specifications

  • The Allover Smooth Wall Kit for 10sqm includes:

- 3x 5kg buckets of Allover Finish (2 Coats).

- 1x Bundle of Link Component A + B for 10sqm (1 Coat)

- 1x Bundle of Protego Component A + B For 10sqm (2 Coats)

Complete Allover application (For Walls):

  • Primer - The Allover system does not typically need a primer, this is because its components have very good natural adhesion. It is important to know that on some substrates, especially non-porous, or slippery surfaces, a primer should still be used. This would most likely be the Prolink primer.

  • Allover Finish - This is the smooth finishing plaster of the Allover System. It can be applied on top of the Allover Base, or used on its own, as it is with this kit. Allover Finish provides a seamless, smooth finishing coat that is uniform in visual texture and creates a delightfully uninterrupted finish on walls.

  • Link A+B - This bi-component penetrating pre sealer that slightly darkens the plaster. Link A is mixed with Link B, and a measure amount of water is added before being applied in a single coat.

  • Protego A+B - This bi-component sealer is designed to be applied on 2 coats, on top of the Link to provide a waterproof finish, this will also slightly shift the shade of the final colour. The Protego protector combined with the Continuo kit, creates a system that is suitable for medium traffic commercial projects. Available in Matt, Satin and Gloss.

Disclaimers

  • This wall kit is not intended for use on floors. For the floor kits, please see the Allover kits with Anti-crack System.

  • The Allover System should only be applied by applicators that have prior experience with these types of coating systems. There are multiple layers to be applied, and each component should be understood before it is applied.

  • Although Allover is a strong, and durable system, it carries with it certain limitations. We discourage from applying this material in areas that are likely to be prone to heavy staining such as hair salons, or coffee bars. We also do not recommend this product for use in commercial flooring environments as heavy foot traffic will accelerate the degradation of the product. If you have any reservations as to whether this product is right for you, please give us a call ahead of ordering the system.

  • Although the Allover System does not require a primer as part of the manufacturer recommendation, we would still recommend for one to be use on particularly slippery, or non-porous surfaces.

  • Please note that there is a pre-sealer which must be applied (Link). The Link A and Link B must be mixed together, with a ratio of water. Link should be applied on one coat with a roller. The final resin (Protego), also has two components that must be mixed together before it is applied onto a surface. This product should be applied on two coats. This whole process should be done fairly carefully, as not following instructions can affect the composition, and therefore durability of the resin.

Decorative Coat

Allover Finish

Allover Finish is the main plaster component of the Allover System. On this application, it will be the only plaster used on this application. Allover Finish is a lovely, refined plaster used to create a smooth and uniform look over 2 coats. 15kg of the Allover Finish will be split into 3 buckets (of 5kg). The material contains the desired colour for the application, and is prepared in house by us. This means that the colour will be ready when you receive the material.

Link - Pre-sealer

*For this system, we have introduced the Link from the Continuo range to enhance the durability of the application.*

Link Component A

Link Component A is the first part of this 2-part pre-sealer. The pre-sealer is applied onto a dry second coat of plaster, to penetrate and seal the pores of the application. This step darkens the finish slightly.

Link Component B

Link Component B is mixed together with Link Component A and additional water is added. This creates the complete mix of pre-sealer that is then rolled over the decorative coat.

Protego - Finishing Sealer

Protego Component A

Protego Component A is the part of the system that determines the sheen level of the final application. Available in Matt, Satin and Gloss. This is also the most important component as it offers the main protection against water and wearing of the surface.

Protector will shift the final colour of the finish and make it slightly darker.

Protego Component B

Protego Component B is mixed together with Protego Component A. At least 2 thin coats must be applied in order to complete the application. If any spare is available, we recommend doing a further coat to enhance the level of protection. Multiple thin coats are better, than less, thicker coats.
