Allover Coating System With Anticrack is a multi-layered system designed to be applied on domestic floors, walls and ceilings. Allover provides a seamless coating that can enhance any room with its simplistic and modern feel. It does not require any grouting and can be applied directly onto existing solid floors or tiles (Floors require the Anticrack System). This makes it a fantastic way to renovate any surface whilst creating uninterrupted, seamless finishes.
The page below will guide you through all the components of the kit, as well as explain what each one is.

The Smooth kit with anticrack uses Allover Base as the basis for our anticrack. This is embedded with a glass fibre mesh in order to create strength and rigidity. The Allover Finish is used as the top plaster to create a smooth surface on top of the anticrack. Finally, Allover Top is used for this application. This protector has a semi-gloss look to it, and is single component which makes the process of sealing the finish simple and straightforward, consistent with the rest of the Allover application. For shower floors and shower trays specifically, we would recommend the version of the Allover system which is applied using the Continuo Top as the final sealer, as this tends to be a better fit when applying the product in humid areas.

This kit can be used on both floors and walls. The anticrack system works to prevent any cracks from forming on the substrate.

Specifications

  • The Allover Smooth Kit With Anticrack For Floors & Walls For 10sqm includes:

- 1x 20kg Allover Base (2 Coats)

- 1x 12m Roll of Mesh

- 2x 5kg buckets of Allover Finish (1 Coat)

- 1x 1.25L Allover Top single component resin (2 Coats)

Complete Allover application with anticrack (For Floors & Walls):

  • Primer - The Allover system does not typically need a primer, this is because its components have very good natural adhesion. It is important to know that on some substrates, especially non-porous, or slippery surfaces, a primer should likely still be used. This would most likely be the Prolink primer.

  • Allover Base - This is used to create the anticrack system. One coat is applied, with the mesh pressed into it whilst still wet. This layer is then smoothened. A second layer is then applied to conceal the mesh and complete the anticrack, once the first is dry. This kit has been designed for a 2 coat application of the Base, to cover 10sqm. As this is the smooth kit, The Allover Base will not be exposed on this occasion, instead, Allover Finish will be the finishing coat.

  • Allover Finish - This is the smooth finishing plaster of the Allover System. It can be applied on top of the Allover Base as it is with this kit, or used on its own. Allover Finish provides a seamless, smooth finishing coat that is uniform in visual texture and creates a delightfully uninterrupted finish on floors & walls.

  • Allover Top - This single component sealer is designed to be applied on 2 coats, on top of your Allover Finish. This will work together with the Allover Finish to provide a highly resistant finish. The Continuo protector has slightly better resistance against moisture on floors, and is therefore the recommended choice for bathrooms and wet rooms. The Continuo Protector is available in a Matt, Satin, or Gloss finish and can be purchased with the Smooth Allover System HERE.

Disclaimers

  • This Allover kit includes the anticrack system which makes it suitable for application on walls, as well as floors.

  • The Allover System should only be applied by applicators that have prior experience with these types of coating systems. There are multiple layers to be applied, and each component should be understood before it is applied.

  • Although Allover is a strong, and durable system, it carries with it certain limitations. We discourage from applying this material in areas that are likely to be prone to heavy staining such as hair salons, or coffee bars. We also do not recommend this product for use in commercial flooring environments as heavy foot traffic will accelerate the degradation of the product. If you have any reservations as to whether this product is right for you, please give us a call ahead of ordering the system.

  • Although the Allover System does not require a primer as part of the manufacturer recommendation, we would still recommend for one to be use on particularly slippery, or non-porous surfaces.

  • This version of the Allover System includes Allover Top as the main sealer. Allover Top is a simple to use, single component resin sealer that does not need to have other components added to it. If desired, it can be diluted with water up to 15% max.

The Anticrack Basecoat

Allover Base

The anticrack system is applied to prevent any movement of the substrate, from cracking the Micro coating application. This is especially important in new builds, where foundations may still be settling in. If purchased as part of a Allover Kit, an additional discount is applied.

*On floor areas or wet areas such as shower floors & walls, the anticrack system MUST BE APPLIED.*

The anticrack consists of:

1x 20kg Allover Base.

Please note that Allover Base is an advanced material, and therefore can be applied without the need for mesh to be in between the 2 coats. For your peace of mind, we will still include the mesh in case you wish to use it. It can only strengthen the application.

The Mesh

168g Glass Fibre Mesh

The glass fibre mesh is embedded into a wet first coat of the Allover Base. There is a limit to how much time you have to do this, so we recommend cutting it into the sizes required before beginning the basecoat. We include 12m of mesh for a 10sqm kit as the mesh needs to overlap as to not leave any gaps within the application.

Decorative Coat

Allover Finish

Allover Finish is the main plaster component of the Allover System. On this application, it will be the top layer plaster used. Allover Finish is a lovely, refined plaster used to create a smooth and uniform dingle coat on top of the Allover Base. 10kg of the Allover Finish will be split into 2 buckets (of 5kg). The material contains the desired colour for the application, and is prepared in house by us. This means that the colour will be ready when you receive the material.

Allover Top

Allover Top is the sealing component that forms part of the Allover application. It offers a Semi-Glossy finish. This component combines with the Allover Base to provide protection against water and wearing of the surface.
