The Impera Italia anti-crack system includes Fibreglass Mesh, Colbeton and Atomo. You should use the anti-crack system to ensure that the Venetian plaster won’t be affected by any thermal and mechanical movement.
Anti-crack system can be used prior to the application of any type of Venetian plaster, Polished Plaster, Marmorino, Travertino, or even Metallic decorative paints.
These specialist wall coverings are prone to cracking when applied onto surfaces that are uneven, or future movement is expected.
Our fiberglass mesh is usually combined with our flexible anti-crack plaster Colbeton. You should apply a coat of Colbeton, embed the mesh then apply another coat of this anti-crack plaster on top to create a durable base. This base allows for peace of mind when continuing with the application of your specialist product as it will protect the surface from cracks caused by any movement within the structure.
Please be aware, that you might need corner beads, stop beads, or reveal beads, if necessary. (Not included in the anti-crack system).

Please make sure to have a completely dry surface before applying the anti-crack system, that all imperfections and dust have been removed, and most importantly that the surface is correctly leveled.
