Marmorino Fino is the ideal natural decorative plaster with fine marble grit if you’d like to create various textured and smooth finishes. The quality and richness of the lime enables you to easily apply it and do thin, but enduring decorative coats for external and internal surfaces.

It’s high alkalinity will help you to create coatings with great resistance to mould and algea that naturally regulates the humidity in the area where its applied. The finishes created with Marmorino Fino are beautiful, durable and completely eco-friendly. Compared with other medium or large grain plasters and Marmorinos, this product is easy to apply, not just because of the fatness of the lime, but because of the nature of the natural binder(s).
How to Apply Marmorino Fino
When you use Marmorino Fino you will need to apply Unifix primer first and leave it to dry for 4 to 6 hours. Then you can apply as many coats as the look requires and once the finish has dried completely, it should be protected with Impera Wax. When you’re applying Marmorino Fino ensure you should be using our Venetian plastering trowel.

Marmorino was applied on as much as 8 coats in ancient Rome. Nowadays Marmorino is still the most used Italian (or Venetian) decorative plaster, but the application became much more simple, only the distinguished look remained the same.

A: A firm and even substrate should be created before the Marmorino Fino application can start.

A: This is a highly standardised, industrial-grade Venetian decorative plaster. Natural and traditional, suitable for artistic applications, with possibly the best workability of all similar plasters.
Q: Can it be applied on floors?
A: No, Marmorino Fino is not suitable for this purpose, please use our microcement for floors.
Q: How durable is Marmorino Fino, is it scratch proof?
A: It’s a mineral-based plaster that hardens chemically and turns into limestone in about 2 years, but should be protected in high-traffic areas.
Q: How accurate are your colours?
A: Colours are accurate, differences between batches and specified colours is very little to none. Still, we recommend purchasing a tester pot and consult with your specialist as various methods of application and some protectors can significantly alter the final look and colour!
Q: How resistant are the colours?
A: As pigments used are either earth-based or oxides only very dark colours, applied externally could lighten over time.
Q: Do I need a primer / base coat before applying this plaster?
A: To ensure strong bonding always use the specified primer. Primers ensure resistance, bonding, look and durability.
Q: What should be done when the wall has to be redone?
A: Marmorino Fino should be lightly sanded and primed, in case of a textured effect it should be covered with fillers or gypsum plaster.
