Italian Decorative Paint Course Overview

This course for Italian decorative paints will teach you how to create stunning feature walls and ceilings with metallic, iridescent or pearly paints, from smooth and velvety to textured. Participants will also explore the how to combine them to great effect. This 2 day course will teach you how to achieve or imitate the look of high-end wallpapers, corten steel features and how to apply textured metallic paints to create stunning accent walls.

We will make sure you leave with a thorough understanding of various Venetian plaster base coats (plasters and primers), protectors (waxes, resins) and colour washes (transparent, iridescent and pearly). In addition, our Master Venetian plasterers will make sure that you will be able to address any imperfections or difficulties on site.

The courses of Impera Italia come with a complimentary lunch for each day at a local Italian restaurant that serves home made English and Italian dishes.

The Italian decorative paint course is part of the Impera Italia training system and gives you 7 credits towards a ‘Impera Italia Approved Applicator Level1’ exam.

Just as our other courses, the Italian decorative paint training covers contemporary and traditional Italian and British application methods and effects, but features certain finishes -in this case how to create metallic features and combine them with Venetian plasters- more prominently.

Who Should Attend This Course

You should book this course if you would like to know more about Italian designer paints, like (or would like) to use a brush, sponge and other effect tools or would like to know more about current special decoration trends and finishes. This course compliments any other Level1 one or two day Venetian plastering course.

This hands-on course will provide you with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to create features on real walls on your own.

What should you bring?

Please ensure you bring along protective clothing and gloves as this is a hands on course.
